Your data is treated as part of the repair risk.

Some repairs require limited testing access. Data recovery jobs may require deeper handling, but the aim is always to protect customer data and avoid unnecessary access.

General repair testing

  • Tech2Fix only accesses device data where needed for testing, diagnosis or customer-authorised work.
  • If no passcode or access is provided, testing may be limited.
  • Limited testing can affect warranty coverage where a function could not be verified.

Data recovery

  • Data recovery work focuses on recovering customer files from damaged or unstable devices.
  • Recovery outcomes are not guaranteed and depend on the device condition.
  • Recovered data delivery methods should be agreed before completion.

Customer responsibility

Customers should back up data before sending a device where possible. Some faults, liquid damage or unstable storage conditions can make data loss unavoidable.
