Passcodes and device access
- We do not ask for a passcode unless it is genuinely required for testing, diagnosis, repair verification, warranty checking or authorised data recovery.
- If a code is needed, it is requested through a secure link or other controlled access route rather than plain-text email.
- If no code is provided, testing may be limited. That can affect how fully a fault, repair or warranty issue can be verified.
Data recovery
- Data recovery focuses on retrieving customer files from damaged, unstable or non-working devices where recovery appears possible.
- Recovered data is encrypted before it leaves the lab.
- Available delivery options may include secure cloud download, encrypted USB drive, or upload to customer-provided cloud storage where agreed in advance.
- Data recovery outcomes depend on the condition of the storage, encryption state, previous repair attempts and device stability.
What Tech2Fix avoids
- We do not request unnecessary access.
- We do not use customer data for advertising profiling.
- We do not deliberately inspect personal content unless it is necessary to confirm recovery, file integrity, or an authorised repair test.
Customer responsibility
Please back up your device before sending it where possible. Some faults, liquid damage, storage failure or severe board damage can make data loss unavoidable even when the repair work itself is handled carefully.
