Packing guide

How to pack your phone or iPad for mail-in repair.

Simple packaging reduces avoidable transit damage and makes the device easier to log in safely when it reaches the lab.

Quick answer

Use a sturdy box, cushion the device properly, remove unneeded accessories, include your booking reference inside the parcel and attach the Tech2Fix label clearly.

What to remove first

  • Cases, chargers, loose accessories, SIM cards and SD cards unless Tech2Fix specifically asks for them.
  • Anything not required for diagnosis or return.

How to protect the device

  • Wrap the device so it cannot move around freely in the box.
  • Use protective cushioning around all sides.
  • Avoid thin envelopes or loose padded mailers for fragile devices.

What to include

  • Your booking reference inside the parcel.
  • The correct shipping label attached clearly to the outside.
  • Only the requested items.

Why this matters

Good packing helps preserve the condition the device was sent in. That protects both the customer and the diagnostic process.
